Hi Everyone!
It’s that time of year again for the “LIGHTEN UP” Program!!! Spring time is the perfect time to not only do a “Spring Clean” in our houses, but in our bodies as well! As with most things, a “Detox” is easier to do it if you know there are others doing it too. That is why most years I launch this program to a group around the same time of year & starting the same weekend, so those who are interested can feel part of team, going through a similar experience, with similar challenges, & of course receiving similar benefits at the end of the journey! 😊
This is not a traditional detox, where you just survive on just juices (I love my food to much to do this!!), it’s using fresh, healthy whole foods that naturally help to cleanse the body’s digestive system, liver & kidneys.
You can do 1 day through to the 5 days. It is best to begin the program on the weekend (starting Saturday 13th Oct), as during the first 2 days of the program you may experience some of the unpleasant symptoms of a detox, such as; headaches, fatigue, stomach cramps, irritability & increased toilet time!
However, if you stay strong and persist through those nagging cravings & symptoms during the first couple of days, you should start to feel lighter, healthier & more energised…. And it’ll be all worth it!
Be prepared for your cravings, and have a substitute ready in mind & on hand… for example if you know sugar is your weakness, have some dried fruit (from “food list”) available with you as a snack (at home or work).
This program is also a great way to not only try new types of foods & combinations, but also to take a break from some of our daily habits (some good, some not so good!), that can get us caught into a bit of a rut…. Break free & have a new experience!
The Lighten Up Program includes;
Each year I suggest making a small donation to one of your favourite charities or one from the list below, as a way of not only assisting others in need, but also a way of signifying your commitment to the program.
I look forward to hearing how you go if you choose to take on the challenge.
Good luck & enjoy the journey!
