Getting in Harmony with Spring... The energy of Spring is fresh & vibrant, & invites us to get moving once again, after the slower, more restful months of Winter.... It's the time to; make plans, get creative, start a new hobbie, or do that project (or projects!) you've been putting off all Winter! What is Spring calling you to do?? 🪴🦋🌹🐝 Sowing New, Healthy Habits Spring is the perfect time to start something new, or sow a new, healthy habit! A big part of the work that I do with clients, involves inspiring & encouraging them to take up new, healthy habits & integrate them into their lives. I love this co-creating process & seeing the benefits that unfold, as they not only become healthier & stronger, but feel more empowered in themselves & in their lives, by making small, sustainable changes. One of my own intentions I've sown for this season, is getting out into nature more with my family & friends, or on my own. Whether that be exploring a new forest trail, or nature reserve... or spending a Sunday morning hiking in the mountains, or riding along a river. 🚴🌳🚶♂️🌼 Being in nature is therapeutic, & makes me feel grounded & centred! 🦋🌸🐝🌷 Zucchini & Feta Scrambled Eggs Recipe As the weather starts to warm up in Spring, it can feel more natural to eat a little lighter, but still want to feel full & satisfied afterwards. One of the best ways to fuel up in a quick & easy way, is with eggs! Here's a simple meal you can whip up in less than 10 mins, for either; breakfast, lunch or dinner! INGREDIENTS; (1 Serve)
METHOD; 1. Heat a teaspoon of olive oil in a small fry pan over a medium heat. 2. Add grated zucchini & cook for about a minute - the zucchini should soften just a little but stay bright green. 3. Remove the zucchinis from the pan & place in a bowl. 4. Return the pan to the heat & pour in 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Turn down the heat to low. 5. Crack the eggs into a bowl & whisk together, seasoning with salt & pepper. 6. Pour the eggs into the pan & stir continuously with a wooden spoon as they scramble. 7. When the eggs are almost cooked return the zucchinis to the pan, add the fetta & chopped basil (or other herb of choice). 8. Take the eggs off the heat, butter the toast (if desired) & put together! Enjoy! 😋 (Note: if you are a fan of garlic, you can fry a crushed clove up with the grated zucchini) For more delicious & nutritious recipes, click on button below for Lighten Life's Well-being Tool Kit ... Spring Yoga Routine Here's a short, gentle routine for "joint mobility & flexibility". This routine is mainly based seated on a chair, & works the main joint areas, such as; neck, shoulders, spine & hips. I recommend doing this routine (or something similar) daily, to help release tight, stiff joints. Or if you generally feel ok in your body, it'll help prevent tightness & stiffness! In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) the season of Spring is related to the Liver. It is said that the Liver Qi nourishes our tendons & ligaments. Therefore, if our Liver energy is stagnant, or out of balance, we may experience stiffness & tightness in our joints. Click on button below to give the routine a go! If you have a back/spinal injury please consult your physical therapist before attempting any yoga or stretching routines. "The energy of intention is like the potential of a seed -
A seed is so small, yet a small seed can become a huge tree!" (Joseph Goldstein) Comments are closed.
